THE ROLE
Join WMA as a Junior Digital Channel Manager and drive the social media strategy for some of the biggest names in music and entertainment. You will be responsible for developing and executing best-in-class social media campaigns, managing client relationships and driving measurable results.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Support the day-to-day management and delivery of social media campaigns across a range of artist and entertainment accounts.
– Create, maintain and schedule content calendars across platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, Snapchat and Spotify.
– Write engaging, platform-specifi c copy for posts, comments and community responses.
– Manage online communities within agreed tone-of-voice and engagement guidelines.
– Research social trends, audience behaviours, platform updates and creative opportunities.
– Contribute ideas for social content, campaign activations and channel growth.
– Support Digital Channel Managers with campaign planning, strategy development and account administration.
– Assist with gathering social performance data and preparing clear campaign reports and insights.
– Help coordinate content, approvals and feedback between clients and WMA’s internal teams.
– Attend client meetings, prepare agendas and notes, and ensure actions are accurately tracked.
– Support the creation of proposals, pitch documents, case studies and new business materials.
– Undertake basic content editing and formatting for social platforms where required.
– Work collaboratively with WMA’s Social, Creative, Design, PR and Marketing teams.
– Keep the wider team informed of relevant platform updates, trends and emerging digital opportunities.
– Provide additional campaign and team support as required.
SKILL-SET
– A genuine passion for social media, music, entertainment and digital culture.
– Strong awareness of current social trends, platforms and online communities.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Strong copywriting skills and an understanding of how tone of voice changes across platforms.
– Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
– Strong attention to detail, particularly when scheduling content and handling client approvals.
– Creative, proactive and confident contributing ideas.
– Comfortable working with data, reporting and identifying basic performance trends.
– A collaborative approach and willingness to learn from more experienced team members.
– Good judgement and an understanding of the care required when working with public-facing artist accounts.
– Working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
– Familiarity with social scheduling, analytics or content-editing tools is advantageous.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
– Proven professional, freelance, internship or placement experience managing social media channels or supporting digital campaigns.
– Experience within music, entertainment, culture, lifestyle or a related creative industry is preferred.
– Experience creating social copy, scheduling content or undertaking community management.
– A degree in Marketing, Communications, Music or a related subject is welcomed but not essential; relevant practical experience will also be considered.
WHO WILL YOU BE WORKING WITH?
You will collaborate closely with the UK and Global Social Team, directly with clients to discuss briefs, campaigns, timings, and budgets, with Social Creative Design Teams, and with artists/bands (major to unsigned). You’ll be working in a collaborative team with opportunities to work alongside and learn from WMA’s other divisions.
